The Hotel, Destination and Event Management associate degree program at Tri-C’s Hospitality Management Center of Excellence prepares graduates for successful careers in the hotel, destination and event industries.
The two-year program features comprehensive, high-quality curriculum that includes in-depth classroom discussions related to real-world experiences in addition to hands-on, supervised industry experiences at hotel and destination establishments.
Coursework focuses on convention management, meeting and event planning, hospitality marketing, front office operations and housekeeping management.
The Hotel, Destination & Event Management Associate Degree program has two major components:
- Management and Supervision:
Emphasizes service-focused communication and human resources training and supervision. Understand the fundamentals of convention and meeting management, front office, facilities maintenance, housekeeping operations and hospitality food and beverage. - Academic Development:
Prepares students for critical thinking, decision-making, information technology and microcomputer applications while emphasizing teamwork, and cultural awareness. Graduates are ready for transfer to a four-year degree program in hospitality management.
